Unfortunately for all those involved, the eliminations today (Sunday 12th August) have been cancelled.

The cancellation was due to track surface being unsafe for competitive racing, which became apparent to most, if not all pro classes during qualification.

The Hockenheim track crew worked to try to create a safe track surface, which had been pressure blasted to remove rubber before the Formula 1 event in July. Despite these efforts, the track was deemed unsafe to race elimination rounds where the biggest fight for championship points takes place.

All of the Top Fuel drivers would like to extend their apologies to the great number of fans this sport has, and hope to conclude an exciting season of racing at Tierp Arena, Sweden, and Santa Pod Raceway, England.
